spent the day with my sister helping her giftwrap her employers gifts from the staff. normally a job done by my niece (they work together) but since she has had surgery to remove the mass caused by the ovarian cancer my sister has offered to do whatever she can for the office in my niece's absence. she has worked there 40 years which seems so hard to believe. she still performs with the utmost professionalism (not something all of her co-workers subscribe to). her employers have been very blessed to have her and they know it. they let her know that she is appreciated. I was happy to help but mostly happy to spend time with my sister. this thursday we get together to make dozens of pierogi for Christmas. we will be training yet another of the nieces in the fine art that is pierogi construction! another day I will cherish. my mom who is now 94 will join we three sisters and my niece. these are special days. they have grown more special as the years have gone by and our family does love pierogi!
@farmreporter they have done surgery...after some healing it will be time for chemo. Good news her colon was unaffected by the mass. Thank you for asking.
