Under and over exposed by jacqbb

Under and over exposed

Helen asked me to do a under and over exposed shot in manual......
I tried a lot of subjects but my waspcatchers gave the best results.
The upper left : 80 - F8 - iso 640 - 40 mm
Left under : 1000 - F8 - iso 640 - 40 mm
Shot on the right : 320 - F8 - iso 640 - 40mm this last one gave the best result with the correct colours.
First time I shot totally with manual...
thats a lot of wasp catchers! Do you find them to be succesful?? I only ever seem to get flies in my one

Nice way to show the comparison between the different pictures. I quite like the mysterious atmosphere of the under exposed picture

@30pics4jackiesdiamond If you fill them with lemonade they work well. On my work we use them as soon as the wasps starting to be aggressive in august and we catches hundreds.

Hi Jacqueline, congratulations on your first fully manual shot. That is an achievement. The trick is to keep at it until it becomes as natural as using automatic. You demonstrated the different exposures well and the main image is spot on with the settings.

Please dont take offence that I havent fulfilled my challenge. With all the family in Dad's house trying to care for him and distance from each other at the same time, photography has had to take a rest. I had an idea, but didnt manage to follow it through. If I do get a chance this week, I will submit a late entry.

@helenhall Hi Helen, thank you again for your challenge and comment! Of course I don’t take offense, the care for your father comes first! If you have time I’m curious what you can do with the challenge..... but no hurry.
