Connecting Man and Nature

“When you see an aging or a rusted bridge, you are seeing nature and man working together. If you paint over a building there is no more magic to that building. But if it is allowed to age, then man has built it and nature has added into it — it’s so organic.”
~David Lynch, “Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness, and Creativity”~
So true, Jane. freshly painted and it would loose ot of place with nature.

I always like seeing old structures, either buildings or bridges. The quote fits this picture so well. Great picture.

It reminds me of a covered bridge but without the covering...... nature always reclaims the land and seeks to blend anything in her way. Nice quote.

Thank you so much for commenting on my photo of the rusty bridge. I don't use HDR much, but I've found it is good for bringing out rust on metal.

I'll tell Rhoda that next time she mentions that the outside of the house could do with a new coat of paint.
