“Nature is a rotten mess. But that’s only the beginning. If you take your eyes off it for one second, it will kill you. Thorns, insects, fungus, worms, birds, reptiles, wild animals, raging rivers, bottomless ravines, dry deserts, snow, quicksand, tumbleweeds, sap, and mud. Rot, poison and death. That’s Nature. It’s a wonder you even step outside of your cabin.”

Thank you so much for commenting on my photo of the store attacked by tumbleweeds. I probably wouldn't have posted this except I got such a kick out of the quote that I found to match. Be careful of quicksand when you step out of your cabins, dear friends!
Oh my goodness! It can get like that here too!! When we moved to Albuquerque years ago I laughed so hard the first time I saw a tumbleweed blowing by. I thought that was only in "Old Westerns!" Haha
Holy mole! These things are everywhere - and they have a life of their own! I saw one today rip free, bounce in the air a few times and once completely freed, was off! To where, who knows? Maybe to your part of the world!
