Duckster

I wasn’t planning on picking up my camera; but when my heart sings, I must! My D850’s been sent to Nikon with my 105mm lens — someone’s got to figure out why they won’t play nice together — so my old D7100 came to the rescue. The D850’s size and weight make it hard for me to hold, and I have some tendon damage as a result. The D7100 felt good in my hands, smaller and much lighter. Click! Click! Click! I spent quite a while with the D7100 and Duckster and the glorious afternoon sunshine that had my heart singing.

Gracie loves to be up high on the backs of chairs, and this blue chair is her favorite. From here she watches what I’m doing, gazes out the window, enjoys a nap or plays with a toy; and this cushy perch puts her at the perfect height for a good snuggle as I go about my day. I never know which of her toys I’ll discover on the perch. Today it was Duckster, a favorite whose squeaker surprisingly still squeaks.

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.

This gave me a big smile. Very cute shot. I hope they can fix your camera.

How sweet - Duckster is enjoying the sunshine (I would be too, if there was any around here) I love the quote - for me, it applies to photography also...seeing the same thing, but with a different point of view - thanks for sharing)

Very cute, looks like Duckster is closing his eyes and pretending he is at the beach sun tanning. 🤣
