Saturdays

The beginning of the year always has him working six days a week, but times have changed. This year, he works Saturdays from home rather than going into the office; and I’m thrilled! The light of the computer screen mingles with lamplight and daylight and his light. I do my thing. He does his thing. We’re together, and that’s the best thing.

I think the pandemic has enabled a lot of people to realise that they can do a day's work from home as efficiently as from the office and still build in some of the luxuries of home life and togetherness.
