From our tiny balcony four floors up, I watched the crystal clear water in Mirror Lake shimmer just behind the shops and restaurants on Main Street. Mountains rose up beyond, and the picture postcard scene invited quiet contemplation. I gazed in no hurry to do anything but. Eventually, my attention turned to the time; and when I turned to step back inside, I discovered this dragonfly not a foot from where my elbows had rested on the rail. Dazzled, I allowed myself more time out there and asked Mike to join me. Time spent dazzled is always time well spent.
The multiplicity of forms! The hummingbird, the fox, the raven, the sparrow hawk, the otter, the dragonfly, the water lily! And on and on. It must be a great disappointment to God if we are not dazzled at least ten times a day.
