Native

Non-native plants are known to cause trouble; but this prolific native does its share of damage, too. Wild grapes climb anything they can grab hold of; and once established, they take over. Such is the case along the side of our road, where the tenacious vines weave their way through much of the shrubbery; but as always, there's a bright side! Birds use the vines' peeling bark for nest-building, and they eat the plump purple grapes. I found this bunch dangling in afternoon sunshine on the way to the mailbox with Gracie. A trek down the hill always delights in one way or another!
Such wonderful dof and the purple against the light green is gorgeous
