My sweet girl remembers the joy of laying her own little head on a homemade holiday pillowcase, and the gift of that touches my heart. How I loved sewing each and every one of them all those years ago. Now a Mama herself, she came up with the clever idea of holiday crib sheets for her sweet girl, who’s too young yet for pillows. She asked me to make them, and my sewing machine whirs. With love, I slowly feed the fabric beneath the foot, every inch a step along a road back in time to sparkling brown eyes and hugs around legs and I love you mores. The cold winter afternoon melts into the warmest memories. Little Miss has her Mama’s eyes, and there’s just no end to the Lord’s good gifts.
I’ve made Satin pillowcases for all six of my granddaughters. They love them!
