Busy Season Saturday by janetb

Busy Season Saturday

It all began in 2020 because of coronavirus restrictions, and it stuck. After decades of working busy season Saturdays in the office, he now works them from home; and we love it! He emerges from the den every so often to throw another log on the fire he built for me to enjoy while knitting, and I served him a late morning slice of the pistachio Bundt cake I baked yesterday. The bright sun casts long shadows across the snow-covered lawn, and Gracie snoozes while our feathered friends devour the foods in the feeders. The chandelier's lightbulbs reflect in the shiny granite countertop, and I gawk at the near perfect circles. When we take time to notice, we see so many silver linings in the cloud called Covid.
You are wise to find a silver lining. Love you photo and would love a slice of that Bundt cake!

I agree- I have found a lot of positives in Covid- I like how quite the mornings are with less commuters speeding out of our community! Delicious shot.

Totally agree.
Sometimes we get so distracted by the hiss of the world that we can’t hear the still small voice. COVID has allowed us to see our world from a different perspective.
