For the first time this year, I broke a sweat outdoors — standing still! The black pool cover, warmed by the sun (like me) lured Gracie; and she curled up to bask while I surveyed the garden for signs of spring. I soon found sunshine and shadows playing nicely together on the rough-textured wall around the pool where a branch of I-can't-remember-its-name stretched over the edge of the wall to catch some rays. I spent quite a while there admiring, appreciating, snapping, sweating. After months of winter, the bright and shiny warmth felt especially welcome. A case of spring fever does a body good.
