Adorable New Habit

Thank you, Lord, for Marley's adorable new habit of covering his food with his toys — it makes us smile.

Marley's 10 years old, and who knows why he's only now decided that his food needs to be covered with his toys whenever he's not eating it?

Must be similar to burying a bone. I think perhaps dogs think if they can't finish their food (perhaps his appetite is less now that he's older), then they want to save it and protect it for later.
