Thank you, Lord, for the beautiful bouquet that just arrived — and for my wonderful husband!
Mike and I celebrated our first Valentine's Day together in 1979. He was 18, and I was 17. We'll celebrate again today at the ages of 57 and 56, and we'll remember the scripture about love that was read at our wedding in 1983.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
1 Corinthians 13:4-10
It looks as if the flowers must have been pretty--a beautiful close-up. A perfect verse for a wedding--also hanging in my apartment where guests first enter.
