While I've been shooting in the manual mode for quite some time, I only recently started flipping the switch on my lenses to allow manual focusing. I love the challenge, and I'm always thankful for time to practice.
These orchids complete my assignment to shoot at f2.8 to capture an image with very shallow depth of field.

You give me some hope - I thought all along that I was using the camera in full manual, when I realised the other day that I wasn't actually focussing in manual. When I switched to manual focus, I couldn't understand for the life of me how to use it. I think I need to follow your assignment. A lovely image.
