Sheep

Thank you, Lord, for our good look at Iranian Sheep enjoying a meal.

Named for Delaware Indian Chief Nemacolin, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort sits on Route 40. Route 40 began in the mid-1700s as merely a trail through the Allegheny Mountains, blazed in part by Chief Nemacolin. At the Resort's Wildlife Habitats, we got a good look at the Iranian Sheep, including their little lambs!
How cute is this. Such a sweet shot, Janet.

It looks like the snow is still left in traces, but you are finding many signs of spring. I love to see the new-born lambs in the fields, and these sheep are looking pretty cool with their straggly coats.

Lovely grouping.

Looks like they're waiting for the shearers. I'm sure they'll feel much better once the wool is taken. Great shot.

Very sweet! I'm sure all that wool will be prized for someone. It seems you are on a trip?

They all have their own unique coloring. And I like the babies in there with the adults, too...

@janeandcharlie Thank you for commenting, Jane! Yes, Mike and I were on a trip...a long weekend at a nearby resort...just five days, but so wonderful!
