Thank you, Lord, for the rock garden at the National Aviary — a beautiful patchwork of texture and color!
I took my camera along today knowing I'd visit the rock garden on my way home, because its happy colors and interesting textures caught my eye the other day (such a treat with most gardens still in a sleepy-eyed state this time of year). Intending to capture the backlit tulips, I faced the sun and crouched low. Wind-whipped hair clouded my view as the flowers danced wildly, and I pressed the shutter button relying solely on Burst Mode (a.k.a. Spray and Pray) to obtain a sharp subject. Thanks for getting the job done, D7100!
This is my offering for this week's 52-Week Challenge, which is Photographer's Choice (Capture an image on your terms: who, what, where, when, why, how…it's all up to you. Caveat: You must tell us your intent.)
backlit tulips are always great to get and these are no exception. I smiled at your description of the technique. Sometimes, it just has to be done like that. So glad you got one as lovely as this in the process.
