Having Mike along with me while shopping for herbs proved to be a unique experience. I loved seeing what caught his eye. I spun around when I heard, "Wow, that has a kick to it!" I discovered he'd plucked a leaf from Oregano 'Hot & Spicy' and tasted it. I laughed and then realized that, in all the years I'd shopped for herbs, I'd never plucked off a leaf for tasting. We have a community herb garden in the middle of a roundabout nearby. I have certainly been known to pluck a leaf for tasting so that I take the right thing home with me.
