it really is horrible weather at the moment and the ground is at the real sticky mud stage. I feel really sorry for the chickens who all have big clods of mud on their feet. They don't appear to mind tho. Well that is all except for this particular chicken who when it is wet, muddy or snowy does her 'Ministry of silly walks' impression. Every step is very slow and very high.
Had a great time at our friends' house this morning but paid the price for it this morning with a bit of a headache and the tiredness I suppose I deserve having not got to bed until 2am.
Spent much of the day worrying about my niece who is in the final stages of the audition and interview process to get in to LIPA (The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) This is her second day of auditions and she has got down to the final 80 or so out of the two thousand who originally auditioned. She managed to make it through to the afternoon session whereas some were sent home during the morning. Now she just has to wait til she gets in. I so hope that she does.
Otherwise not the best of days. Much time was spent arguing with my eldest son about the fact that he is not doing any school work and has got GCSEs in a few weeks. All very unpleasant.......
On the bright side Graham and I cooked a lovely dinner. A whole roast chicken.skin removed then covered in a paste of Indian spices together with spinach curry and rice with peas, onions and cumin seeds and cucumber and yoghurt raita. Delicious and healthy too!
I love this pic - great timing btw. Congrats to your niece for doing so well. I hope she gets in and I hope your son does a bit of cramming so he does well in his exams
Lovely healthy looking black rock. Look at that red comb.Beautiful focus and a happy looking hen (although a bit perplexed). I know what you mean about the GCSE's. Sitting here looking at a half written essay on Darwin vs Lamarck. All Eve wants to do is listen to Kiss FM!
Beautiful chicken and a fabulous, clear shot.
