Have to say, this definitely looks much better on a black background (viewed large)
Such a cold, grey, damp day today. I took this picture on Monday.
After taking the kids to school I had a trip to the bank for a meeting about fiddling about with our mortgage. I had optimistically thought that the meeting would only last a few minutes, but I had forgotten that this particular mortgage adivisor always likes to update me on her daughter's plans for when she leaves uni, what she did in her last summer vacation, her plans for a holiday in Weymouth over Easter.... Oh, and lots more stuff that for some reason I can't quite bring to mind. Bless her! Anyway, we eventually got round to talking about the mortgage and I had to leg it back to the car because my parking ticket had run out. This was followed by a brief forray into TK Maxx to see if I could pick up any ski wear for Sam's imminent snow-boarding trip with school. Looks like I might have left things a bit late....... Of course, while I was there I managed to find lots of gadgets and crap that I have somehow been able to live without until now. Who knows how? So I had to buy them. Love a gadget I do.
This evening Graham and I went to watch Sam play in a concert at his school. Such talent under one roof - wonderful!
Almost through watching 'One Born Every Minute' as I type this and I haven't cried once so far this week. I must be toughening up.
Beautiful, misty, timeless - just like a painting as people have said.
I watched One Born last night (been having a weird labour reminiscence thing going on this last day or two). Don't tell me you made it through that flashback where the baby was stuck without even a sniffle!
@jewelsandbinoculars Actually I did come pretty close at that point. That woman's story struck a chord with me. My first was born by emergence c section and whisked off to ICU for the first three days. Her emotions about having an actual baby to hold immediately after her second one was delivered were exactly the same as mine. I loved the Butlins' couple.
Have to say a really atmospheric shot love it. Re One Born, watched it a couple of weeks ago and saw to my amazement saw somebody who I worked with about 20 years ago!!!!!!
Don't know this series, looks like it's looks good. However, if it has sad stuff with babies, well not sure my tear ducts could handle that.
This shot is amazing. The softness with the colors, perfect.
@jantan goodness I'd have been wailing in that case. I was able to hold L for a bit immediately afterwards, but then couldn't for about an hour (while they patched me up) and found even just that quite hard. First three days in ICU sounds really tough.

Post card perfect!
