a filler from my recent 'photoshoot' with my friend's new rescue dog. Her lurchers were very gentle with him, but did their best to teach him a few manners when they thought it necessary.
Early posting today, so no excuse not to get on with the housework. It is raining already and looks set for the day, so I guess this evening's village pub cricket match which Graham and the boys were due to play in will be cancelled which is sad, not least because it means I will have to cook rather than them eating in the pub afterwards. I was quite looking forward to a night off.
Beautiful -so much expressions & actions !! love the waggy tail end Ooops !! just realised I have already commented on this photo well as it deserves a second look & second comment then it must deserve a FAV for me !!!!
@lynnb a lurcher is a crossbreed usually one half hound of some sort such as a deerhound or wolfhound and another breed of dog. They are often bred for hunting things like hares because they are so fast.
I have a funny feeling that the little one was able to hold his own with the two bigger ones! Get shot to catch all three in the same frame. Not that easy to do!
...actually there was a cartoon a while back called Dogtanian and the Three Muskahounds. Unless it was repeated your boys are probably too young (thankfully, it had a very annoying theme tune).
The more I looked at this, the more it grew on me. I love the eye contact between the lurcher and the Dachsund (?), and the other lurcher and the camera.
I've never heard of lurchers, but they sure have a special spark about them.

Marvelous capture.
