whenever they get the chance the goats like to stand on the quad bike. Not too much of a problem but they have been known to chew through the odd cable and do the occasional wee on the seat.
I am feeling a bit annoyed with myself today because I don't seem to have been able to get my act together an achieve much. Just one of those days I suppose.
On one of my regular trips up to check up on the pigs I did my usual head count.
Elsie's lot "......7,8,9,10....., oh well, there is probably one asleep somewhere in the run, I'll have a look for it later ."
Myrtle's lot "........4,5,6,7 ....... but she only had six." On closer inspection I noticed one enormous piglet suckling alongside the others. It's probably a good job that pigs can't count.
Oooh ! you make me smile with your great animal tales !! Love this shot --the Donk looks so placid & patient while the *naughty child* goat looks intent an doing some mischief !! Lovely shot Jan !
you are so right. I have more trouble with that black goat than all of our other animals put together (as the bruises on my legs will usually confirm) @debrac@tremerryn
Lovely details in the hair of both animals and their colours contrast well. As usual Jan you manage to get some great expressions on the faces of your animals.
I love the difference in demeanor between the two. The donk appears so relaxed and calm, and the goat looks like he's just itching to get into trouble.
Funny description of your exercise in pig counting. :-) Glad Myrtle didn't mind the extra mouth at dinner.

Fair play Elsie. If I had 11 I'd definitely be sneaking a couple across to any other nipple in the vicinity.
Anyway, it's entertaining to hear that I am not the only one with farm animal stories to tell.
Awesome shot.
