It's a dog's life

Wouldn't mind a bit of that myself to be honest.

A pic taken on a very cold wet day last week when we were looking after my Mum's dog Bertie. When I went out to feed the animals in the rain and wind they got as far as the door and then made the executive decision not to accompany me. This is how I found them when I got back in.

Bertie is the most spoiled Spaniel in the world - hence the fact that he is known as 'Tricky Woo' in our house - that reference is probably lost on anyone who has never watched or read any James Herriot books.

Does he suffer from flop bot!!!

I've always known that dogs are far more intelligent than we give them credit for - these two are in the right place

Wonderful. I wonder if Bertie goes "Crackerdog" in front of that magnificent range (Aga or Raeburn?)

LOL - I used to love Tricky Woo!! Delightful shot - they both look so content and cosy! I know what you mean about wanting a dog's life - especially the life of the Tricky Woos of this world! : )

@steampowered It's an Aga Paul. I adore it and think of it as a big red heart with its four ovens/(chambers)

@lucypics As soon as the cooking starts Lucy their beds get moved. Funnily enough as soon as I posted this pic and wrote about Tricky Woo I had a look on amazon for a box set of the DVDs. Not sure if the kids are a bit old now,but I might buy them for Graham for Christmas - (that's what I usually do when I want something for myself!)

Love the show/book "All creatures great & small." we use to live very near where it took place, & watch the show on telly. Now some 30+ years later not only did I buy the series for my parents, but I got my American husband to watch it too. Last year he bought the series for us too. Tricky-Woo & her "flop-bot & crackerdog" have given us all many laughs over the years. It's the kind of show you can sit & watch with your kids & not worry about anything "inappropriate"
Awesome show & very cute picture!!!:)
