a filler today, taken a few days ago when the pigs were soaking up a few rays of warmish sunshine.
It's been another busy one. Book club last night, not the largest turnout but it was fun and I think we broke our record for the shortness of the time we spent actually discussing the book.
Sam made me laugh this morning while he was eating his rather eclectic breakfast of scrambled eggs with roti prata which is a fried Asian bread that both of my boys were more or less weaned on when we lived in Singapore, tho in those days they used to dip it in curry sauce at breakfast time. He asked me why the eggs were so white. I explained that I was having to buy some eggs at the moment because our chickens are hardly laying, and these were the bought ones. He was horrified and told me that in future he would go without rather than have the shop bought ones. Spoilt you see......
What lovely piggies. So long as the eggs were free range, it doesn't hurt to have shop bought ones occasionally. I bought some from the market today as the lady I buy them from looks after the chickens so I'm putting money in her pocket rather than a huge supermarket who charge nearly double!
@jantan Oh I've seen them now and they are lovely. You've done a fantastic job and I've given them a Fav and especially to you for saving these chickens from a horrible life
Lovely piggies! We haven't had an egg laid for days - I'm with Sam - can hardly bring myself to buy them! Monty is pretty much on the mend - we have a couple more tablets left then we'll see if he regresses again.
Hey, I'm with Sam! We haven't had chickens for a few months now and oh, I miss our eggs! Getting chicks in the spring...more photo ops! I love your pigs, so much cuter than the pink ones :)
Here is a pic of them when they arrived and then after they settled in
