You are right Pat (@happypat) they do make massive skid- marks at the bottom of the hill. They scare the life out of me that they are going to break a leg. Even Angus-Donk at the top of the hill breaks into a canter and he is about 30 years old.
I bet your cattle used to get up to similar antics.
You bet & it's so scary as they thunder towards you...you just hope they stop in time. It was the best when we used to let the cows out for the first time after the winter. Been inside usually six long months & then let out in the fields we used to think they would really hurt themselves galloping about. They were so excited.
Your ground looks remarkably dry there... the hill will help... a bit of grass to nibble at. Such sweet faces those donks have.
A really great bunch of lively critters! They look so happy and content with each other's company.!
Love the deep blue sky and how it silhouettes the donks.
@amyamoeba@happypat@farmreporter@mikeswaja@fueast Believe me, it looked nothing like that today - abysmal weather here too. And the hill is generally quite dry Pat, but the bottom is getting a bit boggy at the moment.
