It had been two weeks since I'd been to my office and this is what greeted me when I got there. When we bought the office in the late 90's, we planted this tree. It was about 1 1/2 ft tall. And look at it now. Talk about satisfying.
There's been a lot of discussion of late on 365 re to thank or not to thank. I'd like to let everyone who follows me, who visits, who comments, who favs my shots that I am immensely appreciative and that I am overwhelmed with the time commitment of 365 and will spend what time I have visiting and commenting on others rather than thanking. Hope that isn't hurtful to anyone.
@judithg Jim could be Johny Appleseed. Wherever he goes, he planners trees. I chose this one bu he must have planted literally 1000 trees on our property. I feel proud to be married to a man who does that!
Fabulous - I had a friend whose dad had some land in Northumbria and he had all of us growing baby trees from gathered seeds to plant on the land. He has moved up there now and they must also have a created a whole mixed forest between them now - really a legacy to be proud of.
It's beautiful !! I have one, but it always has very few flowers, no idea why ! I agree with the thanking and time commitment and have started it myself...
What a beauty. I'd love one in my garden! I agree with the time commitment/commenting thing totally. I've learnt to do the same as it all gets too much otherwise!
I don't think I've ever seen a dogwood with so many bracts. Gorgeous. An apple tree I planted 4 or 5 years ago was full of blossoms for the first time this year. Exciting!
