I C M

@mirroroflife Carrying on with trying to show motion for Get Pushed 499, in this shot I attempted to use intentional camera movement,
The shot was taken while adjusting the zoom of the lens. First time I tried this, and am not sure I like the ffect. It is different.
@jnr Its like being in a time tunnel. Doctor Who!! Is that a time exposure that gives the flare? Its different, yes, but it got terriffic colours. The buildings have taken a soft look to them.

@mirroroflife Pete, you asked a few questions in the different shots. I will try to answer them here.
I am using a Canon 6D for most of my shots. For outdoors I use two different lenses, a Canon 24-250 f4 and a Canon 100-400 f4.5. Both are Version 1 zoom lenses, about 7 years old now. I shoot in RAW and use ON1 Photo Raw to edit my shots. I think the refelctions in the water are due to the colour of the water and the lack of disturbance on the surface. We are in winter now and the sun is low angle, so it doesn't matter much the time of day.
For the ICM shot I set the shutter speed at 1/6 sec and turned the zoom ring while the shutter was open. I haven't done ICM, so this was new for me.
Lots of opportunity to try different techniques. I am lucky that I can sit on my patio and practice different shots. Lots of water birds visit during this time of year.
