@northy for Get Pushed 500 gave me the challenge to create a photo in the style of Ansel Adams. This was a tall challenge. Studying Ansel Adam's work, he was noted for western North America scenery shots. He developed for sharp detail and full tonal range, frequently using weather to enhance the shot.
This is my attempt to replicate his style.
@northy this is my attempt in the style of Ansel Adams. I tried to follow his major themes but I need a lot more experience to create his tone range and feeling of depth. It was a fun challenge.
The tree is a nice shape and lovely in black and white. My only recommendation maybe would to try and differentiate between the foreground grass and the lake - something you can do in edit if changing from colour to black and white. Maybe the grass needs to be darker and the lake lighter? Not sure 😀
