frozen view

Okay great idea to go up to Lake Winnipesauke for pictures, but it was cold in the low 20's and breezy so the wind chill factor was awful. So I didn't take the time I wanted to take pictures. But I am happy with a few of them. This is SOOC except I cloned out a little sign that was distracting. This was taken in Moultonborough and it is not on Lake Winnipesaukee, I think it is Garland Pond.
It certainly looks cold and bleak Joan; you've captured well the remoteness of the place, and I like the mountains standing sentinel in the background. Hope you enjoyed your day-out with your nephew, despite the cold.

@vignouse The best part was the joy he got out of seeing these places as he doesn't drive or own a car.

Wonder who cleared the ice. Loos like in spots it's beginning to melt.
March 18th, 2014
@janiskay Don't know who cleaned it but not a lot of melting going on as it was a balmy 22F.
March 19th, 2014
@joansmor I would guess that at this stage melting is a good sign.

Lovely shot Joan.....I always like snowy pictures but we haven't had any snow so I've not been able to add to my 'calendar collection' of wintry images!

@perspectivesimages We have snow again this morning. Can I send you some. LOL
