I took my camera to work just in hopes of catching a sunset on my way home. I thought it wasn't going to happen because of the clouds, but when I got close to home the western sky turned colors. So I turned towards the ridge and pulled off to take a few pictures. I think this also classifies as a silhouette for my get pushed challenge by @bby. Hope you like it.
@bby hope this qualifies as a silhouette because I am out of energy for today. A call to my aunt who just got out of hospital, my sister doing radiation, going to the nursing home to play bingo, making bread, grocery shopping, etc, etc, etc has exhausted me.
@joansmor Know the feeling Joan! At the end of the day, what's the priority?? For me, the camera will almost always take priority!.....apart from grandchildren!!
Hey Joan, I can hardly keep up with the progress you're making! My only comment on this one - apart from I like it very much - is that I would have got rid of the '40' sign.
@vignouse I wanted the tree so are you saying clone it out. I wanted the tree for the silhouette thing. Though of cloning the sign out just got worn down tonight.
@joansmor no, leave the tree, the tree is good. Just clone out the traffic sign: it should be reasonably easy because the top part is on black and the post is on white/grey.
Joan, we were appreciating the same beauty about the same time Friday evening. What a beautiful close to the day you've captured here. The colors are stunning and the silhouettes lovely and detailed.
The full moon is supposed to rise around 7:00 this evening. I am hoping to get back over to the Boston College area to try and capture it on the horizon. There is a lovely reservoir there and I'm hoping the moon will rise over it. We'll see.
Hope you're finding some time for you. A photo trip with your nephew today sounds special and fun and the weather, although cold, is supposed to be lovely today. You have a lot of demands on your physical and emotional strength, it sounds like, and your sister, your aunt, and the folks at the nursing home are blessed to have you in their lives. I hope you can find the time you need to replenish your energy levels.
@barbarajdonnellan We see the same sky a lot and the same weather. It was beautiful today but breezy and when it came of the water it cut through you so only about 30 pictures. I hope to upload later. Making green olive and blue cheese bread in my bread machine and green olive and cream cheese spread. Then I have to make Impossibly easy taco pie (mini's) for supper tomorrow. So I hope 7 doesn't pass me by. Or be too cold.
:)
