There's always one! by joansmor

There's always one!

Talk about being in the right place at the right time. I was driving down this coastal street and wanted to pull over next to the wall to see if it was a seal or bird I had seen in the water. Don't know that but when I looked over the wall at the water here was the mother duck(?) and her babies. They moved out into the water and one little baby lagged behind. In some of the other pictures I have he is obviously eating food and never catches up with the others. Big check mark - "baby ducks" Or baby water birds.
Aah, always worry they will get left behind.

Great title Joan - love it . I like the colour of the water but the v formation the other young ones are doing is a really good capture Joan.

I'm not sure I would have found the little guy if you hadn't titled the picture that way! I love the way he barely makes it into the picture; tells the story.

Aw, haha what a beauty of a shot! That little ducky might want to swim a little quicker! :)

Aah, bless, perhaps his little legs aren't as long as the others. But I'm sure mum will be keeping check.
