More Lobster Detritus

I have some pretty flowers I thought of posting. But I want to add some more notes to my project so I am trying something different. Will welcome you comments on this. Desaturated it but not completely so no a real sc. Comments on whether it works at all or if it could be improved would be greatly appreciated.
It's a very powerful composition, Joan and the textures and tonal gradients are great. I would have been happy to have seen this in B&W or less saturated... but I agree, a full colour shot would not have done justice to this.

I like this desaturated. So many great textures that are popping out with how you processed it. Is it the end of lobster season or are these just traps that have been discarded from a lot of use?

@vignouse Phew, growing pains survived. Your recent experiments and some of the things @taffy has done are inspiring me to look at a so so photo and tweaking it. Loving my new actions from my Scrapbook class. I used it to turn both photos. And used other actions on them too.

I really like the light colors and the composition. I need to come visit Maine!

I think you're getting the knack already of how to create something artistic rather than focusing on whether or not the shot 'works' sooc or with minor edits. In this one, the desaturation is effective and you have just enough color, to me, to make it interesting. I would likely have played with cropping a bit more as the focus is on the structures of the cages so the scene of the water and boat and the part of the building really don't do much to add to the composition.

Love the texture of the rough wood! Fav!

I like it, nice colour.

@taffy I didn't like the boat either and I forget that what is a little of on my little laptop screen gets bigger on the size screen most people view on. Thanks opening now and playing with because this and yesterdays are going to be used in a scrap page this weekend. And you can't have a great scrap page without great pictures.

As much as I love full rich color, I also like pictures where there is less!

Makes good shapes angles and lines Joan. Good shot

Feels hot and sunny - the shadows show up nicely here with this colouring. I like the "net floats" that are hanging on the wall behind, just slightly out of focus. Great composition!

I like this shot, not sure why though, lol. Would be great for EOTB challenge!

I really like all the textures. I am with Taffy in that I would crop out the background :-)
