I have been described as a lighthouse in the middle of a bog: Brilliant but useless.
But of course this lighthouse is on the coast so very useful. Taken at the Nubble with the winds blowing. Used my long lens. The waves were lapping at the stones and the sun played peekaboo with the clouds. Just a perfect fall day at the shore.
I've confused some with this quote. The I refers to me! I was making a wee joke at my expense. The Nubble was never useless. This is actually a quote I found on line that tickled my fancy.
Nice how you caught that sliver of bright orange on the light as it turned (or is it the sun reflecting off of it?) Great photo - so clear!
Aww...you're not useless Joan...but...were you at least singing "I wanna marry a lighthouse keeper" as you were standing there?
