Oh boy, suddenly realized I hadn't done my get pushed. Was actually looking at someone else's when that triggered my beleaguered memory. It's day time and my challenge is a moon shot (tried and failed miserable earlier) or a candle shot. Kept the candles in the closet I turned over to my sister for her visit. So a mad hunt to find candles. Then into the cellar for relative darkness. There goes my relative relaxing afternoon. Hope this one suites.
Challenge - an interior night photo with only a candle as the source of light by @hjbenson
@vignouse I don't know if I did it right but I did a brush on the flame and reduced the exposure and highlights a tad. Few other brushed too. One to bring up the highlights on the mixer. Then into PS and made a blend mode and mask part of it So only affected the parts I wanted. Hope I did it right.
I Joan, thank you for my challenge. As your get pushed partner this week I challenge you to do a double exposure photograph whether it be with your camera or using photoshop or similar. Good luck.
I will be late posting mine, I am on the road and my computer isn't working correctly (thanks for smart phones, I can still access the Internet} as soon as I get home I will post it
is there another candle producing the bar of reflection on front? I really like the dark result of this, though I'm not sure that I wish to descend into the cellar for a nightcap. I'll wait until evening.
@francoise You are the only one who mentioned that. It was only afternoon and less light in the cellar but there are windows and this is what is giving the column of light. I should have masked it away as the challenge was only candle light but it gave the shaker definition so I beefed it up in LR.
