My gf and her husband told me about this. Not sure if I ever noticed before. But since I was on a rideabout yesterday afternoon I stopped in to take a shot. This is at the top of a very tall steeple on a church. So it isn't the "finger".
@vignouse I was hoping you r Mrs S would explain. So I googled and I think it is a First Presbyterian thing and not the only one. It is the finger pointing to heaven,
Definitely could be a cause for confusion from a distance.
I'll pass on a challenge I had a couple of weeks ago, having a photo with bokeh. My subject was a flower, but you could make your subject what you like and is doable for you.
It does make you look twice but it's definitely the pointing finger with the thumb tucked that way. So I guess if you're convinced it's the middle finger, that says something about what's on your mind!
I think the message is to look up to God. If you're going through a tough time, need an answer to something you are facing, have something to be thankful for, or want to change for the better the answer is with the Lord. So look up! Not the traditional steeple topper, but I think they did it on purpose!

3 persons/fingers equals 1 God?

Good shot!
