Had to edit - Think I am addicted. For the camera group we are doing minimalist this time around. May not strictly qualify but what I have said is concentrate on simple. Next time we will explore negative space.
Beautiful clouds and lighthouse. I really like your composition with the lighthouse coming out of the trees but it looks as if there is a bit of a glowwhere bottom of lighthouse interesctso with trees...since it is for your camera club challenge
@jgpittenger Not sure but it is on the jpeg sooc version. This akready postd to camera club FB group. My photos don't go in monthly contest as I am more instructor and also only one with fancy camera. Will see if anyone notices - a teachable moment - look carefully before you post.
@vignouse it was taken as a landscape but when blown up the lighthouse was too lost, and there was a circular cloud that looked like some one had attempted an erasure. In the tiny review window it looked good. But I am afraid I am seldom happy with the original - always feeling a little tweak would help, Maybe I don't have the the patience to perfect in the camera.
It might not be the epitome of minimalist composition, but for a landscape, I think it is close. It certainly is "simple" as you directed the club, but whether it is or it isn't, I still love a lighthouse shot! fav (Perhaps the glow is a reflection from something on the ground by the lighthouse- it sort of looks like that to me)
i love lighthouse photos
your camera club sounds lovely too.
It's A FAV!
