New Personal intro
With my 5th year coming to an end this month, I am thinking of making a few changes. The first is I will be posting in the morning instead of the evening. Most of you know I am a morning person. So, if I plan a morning photo ride I will wait till I get back to post. Also, when life gets busy I will allow myself to skip a day. I want to take more time perfecting my pictures rather than trying to get pictures to post. I also want to change my commenting. I now try to post on most everyone who appears in my feed. I limit my post to one word for speed. But also because I find it hard to describe what I like. But I think I will spend time on one or two photos to understand what I like because I believe understanding this can help me improve my photography. But I am a creature of habit so not sure how successful I will be in changing my 365 habits. Most important to me is all of you.
PS Would have taken a picture this morning but it is raining just as was predicted.
Oh- so good to make resolutions to keep our projects fresh!
Your planning sounds so well organized and thought out,
Good luck with it!
This photo is really nice with the golden light shining through the window.
A FAV!
Lovely sky! We all understand Joan - it takes time going through all our friends images! So long as we support each other daily, weekly, monthly it feels good!
Terrific capture. Good luck with your new resolutions/ideas. I finish my fourth year soon and an wondering what to do too! I really don't want to stop as the friendship through 365 is fantastic but I'm struggling with daily posts :) fav for this capture too!
@joansmor Yes Joan - it is great that the rules here are totally your own rules :) It was great therapy for me to take a photo a day the first year, then after that I relaxed that rule but tried to post daily at least. Time will tell what I do next year - and I hope your new "rules" work for you!!
Lovely morning reflections behind the silhouettes in the foreground! I'll look to you now to photograph the mornings for me! And I think your resolutions are a thoughtful way to go about another year here!
I like your one worders!! ;) 5 years is a heck of a commitment Joan, and due to your amateur light group I am so much better at indoor lighting and shadow. Thank you for being you.
A lovely image Joan. I hear what you are saying about comments. I also tend to write one or two word comments, partly because of time constraints but also because I often don't know what it is about a photo that grabs me. Good luck with your changes :)
Love the lighting here Joan, and the rule of thirds works well too! I enjoy your one-worders too, at least I know that my offering for that day has been looked at by someone!!
That sounds like a great plan, Joan. I always enjoy your comments, one word or more. And I certainly understand the constraints of time. I try to comment, but I gave up on responding to each post as I would rather spend that time enjoying and commenting. And sometimes that is too time consuming also. Life does get in the way. Smile
I also enjoy your photos. I really like your style. This photo really has some great layers.
Lovely sunrise. I've had to make some changes, too. Things have just been so busy. I thought they'd slow down after my son's eagle project, then during summer, then after my daughter left for France, but it seems like's it's getting busier. I barely have time to post photos.
Finishing 5 years is an amazing accomplishment. You can try out some changes and if you don't like them, change again. This is your site to do any way you want.
