What you can't see is there is a fan in that window. I am thinking I will use this for my picture to got with my light pictures if I get a chance to do a new one this weekend. Love the specular light on her hunches. Now if I come home tired tonight I don't have to post. LOL
Handholding this at 1/2 sec exposure at an effective focal length of 157.5mm was rather brave Joan and is the reason for the slight blurriness! With an aperture of f/9 you could have opened up 3 stops and increased the shutter speed to 1/16th sec: coupling this with the use of LiveView to cut out 'mirror slap' would have given you a fighting chance of a sharp image... this is your mentor speaking!
@vignouse I will use all this information for future pictures. The trouble is even though Two looked comfy, she wasn't sitting there for long and I just grabbed and shot. Cat just don't cooperate and I can't think fast enough - yet. There is a ghost challenge going on and I think Two will be perfect for that. I got my cable release to use on the birds and maybe to catch Two when she isn't looking. Then your warnings will come in handy. For the birds going to use my tripod. Dang birds run every time I get near the window.
