Kansas City Chiefs whupped Philadelphia Eagles.

This is a real silver Vince Lombardi Trophy for winning the NFL Super Bowl in the USA. It was originally locked in a clear perspex cover. Security took the cover off to rebox it and to transport it so I asked if I could get closer and grab a photo with my iPhone. No problems. They even stepped further back!
Tiffany in New York make a new one every year for the winner and they also have some spares.
A local Sydney pub down the road had a big Super Bowl party this morning. The NFL loaned them this spare trophy for promotional reasons!!
The event was sponsored by a local sports gambling company and they went all in with the Trophy, signage, hot dogs, team hats and shirts etc.
It really was a lot of fun. And because of the closeness of today’s game it was very exciting indeed.
Because of the time difference we started at 10am Monday morning and finished around 3pm!!
A great day was had by all.

Whupped is a little strong for a few points difference- but it was pretty quiet around here (Eastern PA about 2 1/2 hrs north of Philadelphia) today! We didn't watch it and have never been Philly fans so no let down for us- but I know a lot of people were sad to see them lose. How cool to get a shot like this!

The crowd in the venue where I was pretty much supported the Eagles. There were quite a few Americans there. Me? I haven’t a clue. I supported the underdogs.
