Love it - great reflections and well controlled. The empty space is powerful

@graemestevens Thank you, I was stumped for an idea and saw some miniature eggplants in the store. I don't even like eggplant but the shine did catch my eye.

@dorsethelen Thank you kindly for the fav. I tried on white in a high key but dark worked the best. I can't take credit for the shine, it was natural.

@photographycrazy Thank you so much, the mini eggplant (about 2 inches long) was something I've never seen before.

@jerome Thank you very kindly for the fav.

@susale Thank you a great deal, the baby eggplant was something I've not seen before. Now I just have to cook it, maybe another shot :):)

@365projectorgsebgritt Thank you, I think that I like to look at eggplant more than eat it.:):)

@ziggy77 Truly appreciate the fav, thank you kindly. The shine was what grabbed by eye in the store. Now to find recipes.

Successfully understated.

Very nice - we call them - "aubergines" over here - no idea why....
January 15th, 2017
@francoise I am very grateful for the fav, thank you. The mini eggplant had tipped over so that is where I left it.

@s4sayer Thank you ever so much for the fav. I still haven't figured out how to cook them but will.

@stephanies Thank you, I like that name better than eggplant which has always sounded weird to me. I just read that they are in the nightshade family which adds to its mystery.

@joysabin Grill, bake...

January 15th, 2017
@s4sayer thanks, maybe marinating too???
January 15th, 2017
@joysabin Why not?

Lovely colours and nice composition. I don't cook eggplant often but this makes me want to.
January 15th, 2017
@gardencat I am going to try marinating in basic vinaigrette, then breading to try baking or deep fry- probably bake.
