Infrared and Edits---please view on black if you can.

An original infrared jpeg, then the 1st and 2nd edits. This is the top of the Hermits Rest at the Grand Canyon which is built into the hillside.
great to see the differences - interesting contrasts

@annied Thank you, the edit process is fun but frustrating or I should say growth inducing.:):)

@joemuli Thank you so much, I am learning more and more in photoshop but am just having fun.

@deborah63 Thank you a great deal, the edits allow me to be 'out there' and I am running with it.

@graemestevens Thank you, there are so many ways to edit IR and I am just beginning to 'get it'.

@la_photographic Thank you very much, I wanted to show the what the beginnings of this edit process is like and how much fun it can be.

Do all your IR pictures come out in red in the first instance @joysabin ? Can you change the red to other colours in camera or only through editing? I actually quite like the red picture...although it doesn't make sense to have this scene in red... I really like the colour and the structure of the middle picture - everything is quite defined. The colours in the third pic are abit too soft for my tastes. Interesting as always to see your experiments, thanks for sharing and sorry for the questions.

@susale Thank you, shooting in IR is fun but like with B&W film I have to keep in mind what I want the final image to look like. I don't always get it right.

@francoise Thank you, the IR edits make me laugh sometimes, they are kinda 'out' there at times.

@stephanies I did have my Sony A37 converted to IR, the sensor has been replace to only capture in IR. I am still very much on the learning curve of how white balance effects these images. I have an up coming training session with Life Pixel (company who did the conversion) and will be concentrating on the post processing part since that is what bedevils me the most. I hope to see what other software is available.
