Through the crumbles

Taken before my 'Moon over Two Guns". ( https://365project.org/joysabin/365/2021-01-15 ). My son and I were scouting out potential full moon locations. I did find one site that might work. As we were walking back across the Canyon Diablo bridge ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canyon_Diablo_Bridge ) when I noticed the hole/gap in the barriers of the bridge so, down I knelt to see what I might capture.

This opening is noticeable in a small image on the wikipedia page. I also did not know that this bridge was part of route 66 back in the day of tourist kitsch. I've seen some brave folks drive across but I think it doesn't appear too safe any more so walking is just fine with me.

How marvelous!

This reminds me of the ruins of ancient Greek temples in Greece. Great processing- and I like the historical connection to Rt. 66. Cool shot!

Thank you all so very much. I was worried that that the edges of the opening wouldn't be make sense to others. Sometimes my eye's view doesn't translate so well. I liked the learning of new things about rt 66 - it is a fascinating part of US history.
