I will be posting a bit and there while my son from Arizona visits. While walking downtown, we had to walk into a local bookstore. I spotted this small poster in a display about 'Banned Books Week'
I love love love it! I keep wanting to tell all the book ban-ers that when they ban a book, some obstinate kids (like I was) will go to great lengths to find and read that book.
Great idea. We have a festival of forbidden films, but books are not mentioned. The forbidden books took a different route. Sometimes rewritten in typed, sometimes handwritten. But those are different times. In the age of the Internet, it is easier to reach the reader.
