Walking past one a Fraternity and noticed this. I am not sure of it is a pledge thing or not but it really was out of place. And, for that, I am also tagging for the 52 week challenge, week 18, something out of place.
When I was younger it was a tradition, on the last day of high school or university, to throw your shoes (usually your runners or gym shoes) as high as possible in the air. Usually you tried the laces together first and in the spring often pairs of shoes could be seen caught up on over head wires. Maybe. This is a similar sort of thing?
