@joemuli Thank you so kindly. Truly appreciate the fav. @kali66 This little penguin is tiny, about 1/4 inch high. I was stumped for an idea and I didn't want to venture out in the rain so went to the toys. @henrir Thank you, and I am glad that it is Saturday so I can just be a lump. @golftragic I got my extension tubes for my Sony mirrorless yesterday. I was playing around without any idea of what to shot- raining outside and the snap, crackle booms kept me inside. @deborah63 I think that I will keep a sliding scale of penguins to label some days.
@joysabin I'll be interested to hear more about how you go with extension tubes. I absolutely do not want a long lens (too heavy) but may be interested in teleconverters and the like. No thunderstorms here today, but terrible winds and squalls, a real shock after two beautiful days.
i just saw a timelapse video of the lightning over New Mexico yesterday, spectacular stuff, our lightning doesnt seem to fork like it does in those big skies
@evalieutionspics Thank you a great deal for the fav. Some days are just best left to left happen as they may.
@yaorenliu Fabulous attitude and a glass of wine on the side.
@kali66 Most of our lightening is cloud to cloud but I'm just going to let the snaps happen when I'm inside and dry. When the snap and the boom happen almost as the same time its when I usually jump.
@thistle Thank you so much. Focus is way over-rated.
@golftragic The extension tubes come in very expensive to cheap. I go for the cheap which are manual focus but that's okay. I like this youtube video which explains in at my level what they are how they work. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciFtlWQaCQ4 ). Now for teleconverters, 2x etc, they come in manual and auto but auto is more expensive. They do reduce the f-stops so that can be a pain. I don't have much experience with 2x converters but my husband used one for the solar eclipse last summer and it worked nicely. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoiHal08V1U ) check out this.
My dog rescue runs are fun, I get out of town and I get my dog fix. I am just a small link in the chain to bring the pup to its forever home.
@joysabin Any contribution to rehoming a rescue dog is something wonderful. I can't do much, so I donate instead. Thanks for the info on extension tubes and teleconvertors. I'll check out that video too, thanks.

@tstb13 Thank you a great deal.
@jernst1779 Thank you so kindly. Blur is fun and anyone who doesn't 'get' it doesn't deserve the serenity that can go along with.
@gardenfolk Blur and lack of focus is healthy now and then, some days more so...
