I was going to leave it at the quote for this one, but then realized I'd be doing the day a disservice. This was a big one. This was the first time my son - at least in my eyes - made a real connection with what was going on around him. And he interacted with the playfulness of his mother beautifully. He is a little person now - not merely someone to be fretted over, but someone that you now nurture in terms of his own personality. I am an astonished father on this day, and he truly is my greatest achievement.
