Diego is fascinated by JT. It’s not merely that he loves him and asks me every night where his brother is when I get home from work with an enthusiastic “JT! JT!” No it’s bigger than that. He reveres everything associated with Justin, from the plastic divided plates we serve him dinner on to the cups he drinks his milk from to the magical disco light I put in his bedroom lamp long ago. Here, Diego points to the kinetic, sparkling glow from his big brother’s special lamp and while it could simply be that it’s a cool lighting effect that Diego enjoys, I know at least part of the reason he’s so excited here is due to that light’s association with his infinitely cool brother.
