I think this is my favorite photo of Diego’s 365 now. Partially it’s the picture itself, the composition and lighting, the focus and bokeh. Partially it’s the fact that I had a split second to snap the shot and I somehow nailed it. But mostly it’s because, obviously, it’s a wonderful capture of this little boy’s sweetness; his elf-like face comprised of two gorgeous doe eyes, a pudgy button of a nose and the slightest suggestion of his disarming smile, a hint at joy about to come bubbling up. I’m no pro and I never will be, but I do know when I approach decent and I think with this photo I came really close thanks to a subject that can make even the worst photographer seem gifted.
