While I like to posture myself as a fairly creative guy, I try to avoid most labels. I’m not a photographer, not a writer, not an actor or filmmaker or really whatever the heck it might be this week that I’m focusing energy on. But I will admit that now and again, I take a decent photo; write a decent story. Diego’s mom, Carmen, is a lot of things, but like me she’d shy away from calling herself almost anything creative. But you know what? She took this shot today and every week she snags about ten just like it that do a FAR BETTER job of capturing who Diego really is than I do. I’ve been a little stubborn with this 365, almost exclusively uploading pictures I took rather than including the many, many gorgeous photos Carmen has taken. Well, not today. While this isn’t her best shot, it’s one of my favorites of our lovable little dude and a clear indicator of mi amor’s huge talent behind the camera. No, she too might not be a photographer. But damn, does she ever have one Hell of a great eye and a knack for catching just the right moment.
