Loungin’ on the couch after a long day of school and work, Diego and his mom show off their closeness and cuteness in this shot, one of my favorites of the two of them together. The boy’s face in this one is terrifically ambivalent. He appears as if he’s modeling, face turned semi-shyly away, but eyes straight and a grin teasing at breaking free from his pursed lips. He’s a complex dude, this one - a wide range of emotions playing at any given time. Sometimes it’s easy to know what’s up. Other times, just like his mom, it’s a mystery what’s at play in his mind. Regardless, he’s always fiercely attractive with those round brown eyes and impish smile.
