There are a lot of photos of Diego and his mom recently, and I think that’s largely due to his recent bouts of illness stripping away his independent streak and making him more clingy than usual. Personally, I think it’s wonderful to see the two of them so close as I get more opportunities to capture the beautiful bond they share for this 365. Individually, these two are among the most loving souls I have ever known. Together, they are a startlingly gorgeous example of all that mother and son should be. Each brings comfort, belonging, and security to the other. And while Diego radiates adoration for his mother, she radiates protection and care for her child; a fierce and unstoppable force of good shielding him as much as she possibly can from any kind of harm.
